Wonderful experience with wedding dress cleaning and preservation! Very friendly staff. My wedding gown had draped shoulders with beading, and they were honest that some of the beads could come off during the cleaning process, but they would do their best. They did an amazing job. My dress looks beautiful, and all the beads are still intact. I had an outdoor wedding and didn’t get my dress cleaned for a few years, yet it looks brand new! TYSM!

This cleaners is a class act! Welcome gift is a washing guide that’s very helpful, they have an text system that allows you to track your cleaning, you can notify them you’re en route to retrieve your dry cleaning so they can have it pulled and waiting. Just used Janet Davis Cleaners for the first time. Loved the convenience of the pick up and delivery service! The women I spoke to to inquire about it was extremely helpful! I sent a shirt and 2 comforters. They picked up and delivered as they promised! My husbands shirt was boxed nicely as requested. One of the comforters still had a couple spots on it, but maybe because I didn’t tag the areas??
I had my wedding dress cleaned and preserved at Janet Davis. Overall they did a nice job of cleaning my wedding dress and getting the dirt on the bottom of the dress out. Their prices are reasonable and I would go back to them. However, I found the drop off process to be really unsettling. I signed some waivers that the dress may not be able to be fully cleaned and that some beading may be damaged as a result of cleaning, which I understand Janet Davis using. However, the clerk kept repeating over and over that the dress probably wouldn’t be fully cleaned and could definitely get damaged which made me uncomfortable. I also had brought in my mothers veil to be cleaned, which they understandably refused given the age of the item. The same clerk tried to advise me to wash it myself using household cleaners – thankfully someone else overheard and stepped in to tell me NOT to do that, otherwise I would have destroyed this family heirloom. I left the drop off process feeling very concerned about what was going to happen to my dress. The work itself ended up being good but it wasn’t a great customer experience.
I have been using Janet Davis Cleaners for a few years now, and will never go back to any other dry cleaning service. They can take out tough stains, clean delicate/high-end fabrics and they always get returned looking brand new. The longevity of my clothing has been extended through using them. I love their delivery service, which saves me so much time and energy. They are all wonderful people- so professional and knowledgeable and thorough. Worth every penny. You truly get what you pay for. When I used other services, I would have to return with my items because the clothes were not cleaned properly. I’ve never had that issue here.

Janet Davis Cleaners does an outstanding job with my dry cleaning. They even arrange to pick up and deliver as well. I’ve had previous dry cleaners that did okay, but Janet Davis does an even better job washing and dry cleaning getting out any stains and eliminating long term staining around the collar. What are your Detroit pickup and delivery days?
Our Detroit service operates on Tuesdays and Fridays. We’ll return your items on Fridays and Tuesdays (you can send or receive items on either service day). We’ll confirm your service location (most customers choose their front door) and any other special instructions. Most of our customers are not home when we come by.
Is pickup and delivery really free?
Yes, there are no delivery or service fees. You pay the same for pickup and delivery as you would in our location on Woodward.
Do I need to be home when you pickup or deliver my clothes?
No, most customers leave their items in a designated location, such as a front or side door. You choose this when you enroll.
What can I include in my pickup bag?
Everyday dry cleaning, shirts, fine garments, formalwear, bed linens, table linens, comforters, and many other household textiles can all be sent for professional care. Household items and some other formal items require additional time.
