I would like to get my wedding gown preserved. Do you perform this service at your facility?

We clean all of our wedding gowns right here in our plant in Berkley, MI. We also invite you to come in and view your gown before we place it into the preservation chest so you know exactly what it looks like and you aren’t left to wonder.

Can you seal my gown in the preservation box?

Yes. We seal your gown in a box made of material that will protect and not harm your dress over time. Our wedding dress specialists understand the specific materials best for your dress and know what materials to avoid in order to protect your dress.

For more information on how to properly preserve your wedding gown, please visit “10 Secrets to Preserve Your Wedding Gown Forever” on our blog.

Does the cleaning process use “perc” – a common dry-cleaning solution used?

No. We have replaced all our past “perc” dry cleaning machines with Poseidon Wet Cleaning (the greenest cleaning method available) and DF2000 (a dry cleaning solvent safe for the environment and your clothes).

Is my wedding gown going to be cleaned separately?

Yes. Your wedding gown is unique and delicate in its own way. We take extra care in protecting your gown and ensuring it is cleaned in a way that is best for your specific dress.

What is the process for removing stains in my dress?

Our cleaning process for wedding dresses:

  1. Inspection before cleaning
  2. Select the best cleaning method for your particular dress, materials, and features
  3. Pre-treating dirty areas and any stains

Do spray tan stains come out of wedding dresses?

Spray tans are very difficult to remove. For this reason, it is recommended to ensure your spay tan is dry or taking a shower before wearing a wedding gown. The longer the stain sits on the dress, the harder it will be to remove successfully.

You will want to bring your dress in as soon as possible for a special cleaning process. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee you will be able to fully remove a spray tan from a wedding dress (by dry cleaners or home remedies), especially if the stain has remained on the material for a long period of time. However, our wedding dress experts understand that each dress is made of unique and delicate materials. We will provide high-quality and individualized service to ensure your dress is protected in the cleaning process.

Can you preserve other items like a veil or belt?

Yes. Like wedding dresses, wedding veils and belts are made up of special materials that are treated with care. You can have your veil or belt cleaned and/or preserved.
